Applications are now open for Barnó – BEST MEST VEST! 2026, West Iceland’s collaborative children’s culture festival taking place throughout October 2026.
Artists, cultural institutions, schools, creative groups and/or individuals are invited to submit ideas for performances, workshops, exhibitions, creative projects, and cultural events for children and young people aged 0–18. Projects that encourage participation, creativity, inclusion, and cultural diversity are especially welcomed.
Selected projects may be eligible for financial support and will become part of a vibrant festival programme celebrating children’s culture across West Iceland.
The application form and further information are available online. The deadline for submissions is 10 August 2026.
